Bio and book facts

Short bio

David Krainert is chairman and CEO of KVLR Capital, a healthcare private equity firm in New York City, founder and chairman of Krainert Group, a real estate investment group, and author of The Art of Private Equity.

Long bio

Raised in Brooklyn by parents who emigrated from the Soviet Union, David worked in sales at AT&T and Verizon while studying at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, served as a special agent with the FBI, and earned a master’s degree in accounting from Brooklyn College before closing his first real estate deal in 2015. He founded KVLR Capital in 2019 and has led an M&A analyst program for graduate and undergraduate students since then. He lives in New York with his wife, Marina, and their three children.
